Recently I got the chance to do some character animating for a presentation at the ADDY Awards. The character Dr. Monochrome created by Matt McComb was an over the top super villain who planned to “hijack” the awards show.

A band I play with called A Call To Rise recently released a CD and I had the opportunity to create the album art for it. I jumped on this of course and used my graphic design skills and know-how to create this. So here it is!
I wanted to stick with sort of a grayscale theme to depict coldness but then have a little burst of color to depict hope in such a cold world. I used the color orange to do this since the color is typically associated with warmness and being upbeat. I love how it came out and would love to hear any thoughts you guys have on it or using colors in graphic design!

Hey everybody! Just started my first week in Los Angeles and trying to settle in. Had a pretty easy flight over. I am attending the Los Angeles Film Studies program this semester to learn more about film. The picture below is the sun rise I saw on my flight over.
I’ll be spending the next 16 weeks studying different areas of film. One area I’m really excited about learning is story. You can have amazing effects and an amazing cast and crew but it does not matter if you have a bland story. I’ll be working with Red Scarlet camera’s too which is pretty sweet (Yes be jealous).
I will now leave you with what I will be looking at while spending those countless hours editing. Not bad eh?
